Decking Framework

In order to build a deck area your first job will be to construct a suitable frame to suit your desired size.

We recommend that joists are centered at 600mm, these are then secured to your frame. To help to strengthen this structure it may be advisable to cut noggins between each joist at intervals of 1.2 metres. If your garden is on a gradient and you wish to “level up” the area you will also need to consider excavating soil or using Pressure treated Posts to secure your frame too.

Factors you may wish to consider before ordering your framework are:

1.The span you are wishing to cover
2.Anticipated weight per m2
3.Ground gradient/elevation & ground type

We are happy to help and advise on your framework needs should you require it – if so please drop us an email or contact us at the office.
